Just because the winter months bring colder temperatures, it doesn’t mean you have to wear boring outfits. One of my favorite outfit combinations is a top and skirt which can be worn in any season. Today I am sharing sweater and skirt combinations for winter that will keep you warm and stylish for the season.
As I mentioned above, I love a top and skirt combination any time of the year. The cold weather of winter may deter you from wanting to wear a skirt, but there are plenty of options that are appropriate for the season. When choosing a skirt, I suggest finding one that is made of wool or tweed so it has a heavier material. Pair your skirt with a sweater and a pair of tights and boots to really make the outfit suitable for winter.
I want to share a few of my favorite sweater and skirt combinations for winter that are available right now, and many are even on sale. First is the outfit I am wearing below from Nordstrom. One of my favorite winter trends is fair isle, so this 1901 sweater caught my eye. I always gravitate to the color blue so I liked that this sweater is navy with light blue accents, along with a few other pops of colors. I paired the sweater with this Vero Moda winter white faux leather paperbag skirt. The skirt is versatile because it can be worn in multiple seasons, and it also has a comfortable pull-on elastic waist. I wore this outfit with a pair of gray boots, and for a fun accessory I added this pom beret. I have always been a beret gal, but now I think I have become a pom beret gal!
Below I am sharing 3 additional outfits consisting of a sweater and skirt combination for winter:
Bobble Pointelle Sweater | Boucle Pull-on Skirt: LOFT
Cable Knit Sweater | Plaid Mini Skirt: Banana Republic
Balloon Sleeve Sweater | Plaid Double-Breasted Mini Skirt: Madewell
All of these outfits have the classic style I love but are super stylish. Make them even more chic with fun details like printed tights, a great pair of boots, or a trendy hat or scarf. Although it is winter time, a pulled-together look makes me feel better and takes away any winter blues. Check back soon for more winter fashion inspiration!
