I am a lover of classic clothing, but I also love unique and interesting details on clothing. That is where my beloved “chic” element comes in. One of my favorite stores to find these interesting and chic items in is Zara. When I saw this top on Zara’s website, I loved the color and most of all, the classy cutout at the neckline.
At the age of 30, I now stay away from clothing with waist cutouts as well as crop tops and other items like that. There is nothing wrong with these items at any age, but for me personally they are not my thing. I do however like items that show off my shoulders, whether it be an off-the-shoulder top, cold shoulder top, or sleeveless top. The most exciting detail of this particular Zara top is the high neck (I love high necks) but the cutout on the right side that exposes the shoulder. I find this detail so trendy but still classy at the same time. What can be better?
This top can be worn a number of different ways. For an outfit that is a bit more casual, I would pair this top with some white jeans, a snakeskin belt and a pair of nude heeled sandals. With this outfit I went a bit dressier and wore the top with a leopard midi skirt. Leopard is such a fun trend right now and the color of the top complements the leopard print really well. The exciting part? This skirt is currently on clearance from Banana Republic Factory for $22 and is still available in a few sizes. I added a pair of tan fringed statement earrings that I got from Target last week. These earrings are not available online yet, but are in stores currently. I finished the outfit with a pair of sleek nude wedges and my staple spring bag.
As I said, I love Zara for some unique finds, but I am always on the hunt for new stores with similar styles. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Until next time!
