I love wearing dresses in the spring and summer because they keep you cool and they are so easy to throw on. I am someone who leans toward dressier styles but sometimes we all need a casual piece, right? That’s why this casual striped dress will be a summer staple!
Sometimes it can be tempting to put on a pair of leggings when running errands or going to the grocery store, but I try to avoid it. I try to be a little more put-together, so dresses like this olive and white striped knit dress are things I like to add to my wardrobe for more casual situations. I recently purchased this dress from Banana Republic Factory and it is so soft, comfortable, and even flattering. This dress also comes in navy and white striped and solid black for more great options. I personally love how this dress fits because it has an elastic waist band. This waist band is flattering because it prevents the dress from being overly fitted or overly loose. The dress also has pockets, and everyone knows how us girls love dresses with pockets!
This dress can be styled so many different ways. You of course can wear it alone, you can wear a cardigan layered on top, or even a jean jacket on top. I wore a khaki trench coat over the dress because the weather is still so unpredictable and it was chilly on this particular day. I bought this coat from Banana Republic Factory two years ago, but there is a similar one in more of a camel color available currently. For an accessory, I added a skinny brown belt around the waist and I finished the outfit with these fun leopard print sandals from Target. This dress would also look great with a pair of white sneakers or even dressed up with heels and statement earrings or a necklace. It is definitely versatile!
