I am switching it up today and talking about my current favorite beauty items. Some of these products I have been using for years and some of them I have just started using recently. Keep reading to get all of the details of each of these products and the links to purchase.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder
This product is one of my newer purchases after seeing it on Instagram. I have the issue of enlarged pores, so this product intrigued me. I am still getting used to it and learning the best technique of applying it. When I do use it I definitely see a difference in the texture of my skin. I will continue buying this once I run out, but next time I may try the pressed powder version. While the loose powder version is fine, loose powder can sometimes be a bit messy or more difficult to work with. This does give the airbrushed look to skin that is claims to.
Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops
These self tanning drops are another one of my newer products I have tried, but I am OBSESSED. This product kept popping up on Instagram as a cult favorite so once it came back in stock on sephora.com I snagged it right away. These drops are very unique in the way they work. The serum is a highly pigmented self tanner that you mix with facial moisturizer and rub all over your face. The directions say to use 2 to 12 drops depending on the level of tan you are aiming for. I usually use 4 or 5 drops and get a nice glow from that. This comes in a light, medium, and dark shade, but I purchased the dark shade so I can use less drops for a darker tan and make the bottle last longer. Each time I have used this, I apply it at night and then wash my face in the morning. My face always has a nice, noticeable glow and the color is very even. I have found that other sunless tanners have a blotchy appearance on my face and often break me out, but this one does neither. Again, OBSESSED!
Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Primer
As I mentioned earlier, I have an issue with enlarged pores. I have tried so many different primers and never have really found one that I love. I recently tried this one and I like it a lot. The primer does a good job at keeping my foundation intact, mattifying my skin, and filling in my pores. It doesn’t fill in my pores completely, but it does it pretty good job at it. The best thing is this primer is only $11.99 at Target so the results it gives is a great value.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Foundation
I have been using this foundation off and on for about 5 years now. I am pretty brand loyal to Estee Lauder when it comes to foundations because they work so well for me. I switch between this foundation and the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation. This foundation is very full-coverage, which I like, and also does a good job at mattifying my skin. I use the shade 2W2 Rattan. I would say the only downfall of this foundation is it enhances my pores a bit, so lately I have been mixing it with the foundation below to balance that out. But if you are looking for a very full coverage foundation, this is it!
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation
I had heard about Makeup Revolution being a great beauty brand that is incredibly affordable, so I I tried out their Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation. This foundation is pretty good in regards to coverage and it offers 35 different shades. I use the shade F8, which is a medium tone with warm undertones. You can find the foundation at Ulta for $12, which is a steal. Since this foundation isn’t quite as full coverage as the Estee Lauder Double Wear Camouflage foundation, and the Camouflage foundation can highlight my pores sometimes, I have been mixing the two together and am getting great results that way. I then apply the mixture of foundations either with a wet Beauty Blender or a Real Techniques foundation brush.
Estee Lauder Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer
I have dark circles under my eyes as well as puffiness (thanks to my total lack of sleep due to Sharks games starting at 10 PM ET) so I need a full coverage under eye concealer. I have tried a few different concealers but I always come back to the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. It has a good coverage and it doesn’t crease, which is hard to find in a concealer. I use the shade Warm Light, because I like the lighter color to brighten up my eyes and the warm undertone blends well with the rest of my foundation.
Estee Lauder Global Anti-Aging Wake Up Balm
I received this Wake-Up Eye Balm as a free gift with an Estee Lauder purchase, and I am loving it! I need to use an eye cream so it makes my concealer glide on nicely, and I also like to use one as an anti-aging prevention for the future. This balm has a nice consistency and a brightening effect that is noticeable. This works great under the Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer. It is pricey at $66, so I will wait to purchase when esteelauder.com is having a sale.
Banana Republic Vintage Green Perfume
I used to be a person that could not decide on a perfume and would mix it up and wear different ones all the time. There are just too many good scents out there to just choose one! Last year I started using Vintage Green from Banana Republic and it is now my signature scent. It is considered a unisex scent and has notes of bergamot, leafy greens, mandarin, magnolia, jasmine green tea, fig, cedarwood, musk, and velvetier. Unfortunately, Banana Republic does not sell their perfumes on their website, but they can be purchased in store. This particular scent is a part of their Icon Collection.
I have staples in my beauty routine but am also always trying new products to find new favorites. Once I try out some newer things, I will have an updated post in the future. Until next time!
