A lot of people enjoy going to plays, musicals, or the symphony, but I personally am a fan of going to the ballet. Out of all of the arts, ballet is my favorite because I love how beautiful the dancing is and love the classical music. I recently attended my favorite ballet, The Sleeping Beauty, and I wore this dress which was the perfect theater date night dress.
I am a lover of sophisticated florals and I like the style of the particular floral print on this dress. The floral print looks more high-end than a lot of floral prints, and I also love the rich green tone that grounds the dress. The colors of the dress are a bit darker, but they are still very much appropriate for spring. Another great thing about these colors is they look good on most skin tones and hair colors. When you typically think of Target, you don’t think of it as a destination for special occasion dresses, but this dress surprised me. This dress has an elegant and well-made look to it, and I thought it would be perfect for the occasion. The most surprising aspect of this dress is the price, which is $27.99. What a bargain!
The skirt is fully pleated all the way around which is flattering to most body types, and it has a midi length. I usually feel that midi length dresses make me appear shorter, but I felt that this one made me look much taller than I am. For reference, I am 5’5. I accessorized this dress with a pair of gold beaded statement earrings, which complement the dress perfectly. These earrings are also from Target and were only $9.99 which is another bargain. I finished the look with a gold clutch and a pair of nude heels, because there is nothing more versatile than a pair of nude heels!
One of the best characteristics to look for when buying clothing is how much use you can get out of a particular item. We all buy things with the intention to only wear once or twice, but why not have items that can be worn multiple times in a variety of ways? This dress is also great because while it can be worn for a theater date night, it also would be great to wear to a wedding or another special event. So, why not take advantage of a dress that can be this versatile and useful and only pay under $30? I always love a good Target find, and this dress is the best one I have had in a while.
