If you have been following my blog consistently, you may have noticed that I don’t wear casual looks very often, particularly jeans. Jeans are now a part of my work attire, so I recently have been adding a few new pairs to my wardrobe. I am a skinny jean girl, but I decided to try a different silhouette so this laid-back look consists of flared sleeves and flared jeans.
Since I am not a big jeans wearer, I am pretty picky about the fit when I do wear a pair. I can’t get into the trends like mom jeans, high-waisted straight leg jeans, or wide leg jeans. I was willing to try these cropped flare jeans from Banana Republic Factory and I wasn’t disappointed. I love how these jeans are fitted through the thighs but their slight crop at the hem is a cute detail that is perfect for summer. The jeans are also pretty comfortable and can be worn with a variety of shirts.
I decided to pair these jeans with a rose pink blouse which is actually from Amazon. I have been seeing Amazon Fashion featured on Instagram so much lately, so I finally decided to buy my first clothing item from them. There are so many cute options on Amazon, but I was intrigued by this top because it is casual but still stylish. I love interesting details on clothing, and the mesh panels on the sleeves of this shirt are what sold me. That mixed with the flared sleeves creates an overall stylish look. The great news is this top comes in over 10 colors and also comes in different necklines so there is an option available for anyone!
To accessorize my outfit, I added a pair of navy tassel statement earrings which are made of raffia. The material of the earrings is very summery and the navy is a great contrast against the the rose pink tone of the top. For shoes, I added these colorful block heeled mules from Old Navy. These shoes feature multiple different colors and are a comfortable, stylish, and versatile shoe option for the season. Unfortunately these shoes are only available in a few sizes, so get them while you can!
I love dressier looks, but sometimes it is okay to throw a few more casual looks into the mix as well. I am intrigued by Amazon Fashion now so I can’t wait to feature more items in the future. Until next time!
