There are a few different shows that I love and consider as my favorites, but my new favorite show has become Schitt’s Creek. It is an obsession really, because I have binged it now twice in a row with no break in-between. I just love it that much. If you haven’t watched it yet, I beg you to please give it a chance. Between the pretentious humor and the hilarious characters, I can’t get enough of it. So I thought, what better way to show my great affection for the show than a Schitt’s Creek-themed outfit featuring this Rose Apothecary t-shirt?
I am not at all a graphic tee kind of gal. I actually don’t think I own any besides a Sufjan Stevens t-shirt I still have from college. Once I got really into the show, I went to Etsy and typed in “Schitt’s Creek” and over a thousand results came up. I got lost in the abyss of Etsy and scrolled through all of the items that feature the show in some way. The variety of results is endless – mugs, greeting cards (which I ordered a few for the fellow Schitt’s Creek lovers in my life), tote bags, and t-shirts. I decided I needed a shirt, but choosing one was so difficult. There are plenty of “Ew, David” shirts to choose from, which was quite a tempting one. I feel myself turning more and more into Alexis Rose each day, so that one was a fun option. There is the classic “Rosebud Motel” available, which would actually be cute to style a few different ways. There also is the shirt that David wears throughout the show that says nothing but “Don’t” on it . I have decided that I need to buy this one just to wear around the house because I probably say that word to my husband Adam about 10 times a day. Finally, I decided that a “Rose Apothecary” shirt would be best. While the shirt is on theme with the show, it actually has a really pretty logo as well. There are multiple different variations but I personally loved this one because of the pink tones.
Of course this t-shirt would look great with a pair of jeans or casual shorts, but I wanted to really dress it up. I paired the shirt with this rose pink satin midi skirt from Nordstrom Rack. The color of this skirt is beautiful and can be worn in any season, and the color complements the roses in the t-shirt perfectly. For accessories, I added two of my newest purchases from The Styled Collection. This cognac watch with a marble face is simple but chic and can be worn with so many different outfits. Unfortunately it is sold out in the cognac color but it is still available in black. Since no outfit is complete for me without a pair of statement earrings, I wore these gold rectangular earrings also from The Styled Collection. These earrings have a nice weight to them and look much more expensive than they are. The tone of the gold really looks nice with the tone of the pink skirt.
I hope some of you are also fans of Schitt’s Creek and I have inspired you to check out Etsy for some fun finds. I think I will add another shirt to my collection so I look forward to sharing another outfit in the future. Until next time!
