We are in the middle of winter here in Pittsburgh and it is cold and snowy and definitely makes me want to hibernate inside a lot of the time. When I do have to venture out to run some errands, it can be tempting to throw on a pair of leggings, boots, and a coat. Over time, I have learned that it is just as easy to put on an outfit like this for a casual winter style.
These faux leather pants are my favorite winter staple for multiple reasons. They keep me warm, they are sleek and trendy, and they are so versatile. I wear these pants with an outfit like this, but also dress them up with heels for a night out. I would wear them every day if I could, but my husband Adam already teases me because I wear them so often! Leather is often associated with an edgy style which is not me at all, but it can be mixed and matched with classic or even feminine pieces to be more versatile. I purchased the pants from Banana Republic Factory a few years ago, but I found them listed on Poshmark. My camel-colored pea coat is from J. Crew Factory and is also from a few seasons ago, but a similar one can be found here. I love outerwear and this coat is perfect because it can be worn with anything and will never go out of style. My sweater is a very simple cream crew neck with a textured knit that was on sale from Old Navy. The sweater is warm and can be worn with a lot of different outfits making it a good buy.
One of my favorite places to shop for accessories is Target because they’re stylish and comparable in style to other retailers, but really affordable at the same time. I got my leopard print booties from Target which are comfortable and can be worn with so much. I purchased my burgundy beret from Target as well. Berets are my current winter obsession and Target has so many to choose from for just $12.99 and under! The beret instantly turns a casual outfit into a chic one, and even provides some warmth at the same time. The looks you can create with a beret are endless.
