Summer is dress season for me and while I buy a lot of simple, classic dresses, sometimes it is fun to switch it up with some brighter colors. I have mentioned before that I never thought I was a floral person until I started this blog and noticed I have featured quite a few floral pieces. This turquoise floral print wrap dress from J Crew Factory is no exception.
I have always loved the shade of turquoise and the main color of this dress really caught my eye. Not only is this floral print small and not overly loud, but the main color of the print is red. One of my favorite color combinations is turquoise and red because I think the contrast between the two is so pretty and also perfect for summer. Wrap dresses are notoriously flattering on so many different body types, so I always like adding them to my wardrobe. This dress is a true wrap dress that crosses and ties at the hip, and it fits true to size.
To accessorize the dress, I added a pair of fun statement earrings that are also from J Crew Factory, which are on mega clearance right now. To say I am obsessed with these earrings is an understatement. The fringes and bright colors of the earrings are great for the season and they can be worn with a simple white top or with a colorful dress like this one. I added my simple tan circle handle bag and these navy espadrille wedges. I had a pair of navy espadrille wedges in high school that I absolutely loved, and now that they are back in style I was excited to add these to my shoe collection. I love the feminine look of espadrilles and the navy complemented this dress perfectly.
This dress is great because it is versatile and can be worn for different occasions. The dress can be worn as a business casual work look with a pair of nude heels either by itself or with a blazer or cardigan on top. The dress can also be worn casually with a pair of slides as well. What is better than something can be worn a variety of ways?
