I have been following a number of fashion bloggers over the years, but one of my favorites has always been Julia Engel. I love her classic and overly feminine style, so I was thrilled when she released her dress line, the Gal Meets Glam collection. The collection has been released for quite a while now, but I was excited to finally purchase my first piece, this Gal Meets Glam jumpsuit.
Originally the Gal Meets Glam collection was supposed to only be dresses, but Julia eventually added jumpsuits to the line as well. While I love a dress most, a jumpsuit is such a fun alternative. I have had my eye on this jumpsuit for awhile now and finally bought it. This jumpsuit is called the Magnolia, and it has a base color of a mushroom tone with a navy floral print. I love that the print is blue and also love that it has a similar style to antique china. The jumpsuit buttons up the front, ties into large bows up at each shoulder, and has cropped, wide leg pants. The material is a sturdy linen but is still lightweight enough for warmer temperatures.
I wore the jumpsuit with these dainty blue and gold drop earrings, a straw handbag, and a pair of navy espadrille wedges. The jumpsuit could also been worn with more sleek accessories such as nude heeled sandals and a clutch, or you could even wear it in early fall. To offer more coverage and warmth, you could layer a long sleeve top or even a slim fitting mock neck sweater underneath and finish the outfit with open-toed ankle boots. When the dresses and jumpsuits are at a higher price point, it is more reassuring knowing that you can make them work in other seasons.
I do find the collection to be a bit more of an investment, but the pieces are very well-made and beautifully designed, including this jumpsuit. I plan on adding more Gal Meets Glam items to my wardrobe and suggest you give the collection a look as well if you are a lover of feminine styles. Until next time!
