The winter festival Lumaze Pittsburgh came to town in November and goes through January 4th. The festival is inside a huge warehouse in the Strip District and features attractions that are great for anyone at any age. I recently had the opportunity to go and am sharing about my visit!
Lumaze originated in Canada and is in 8 different Canadian cities, and this year they expanded to the US in Pittsburgh and Seattle. The main attraction of Lumaze is the many light displays they have throughout the warehouse, along with food trucks, vendor stands, a bar, bands that play, and a Santa that kids can visit with. I was most interested in the light displays, and Lumaze boasts having 1 million lights, so there was no shortage of displays to look at and interact with.
Many of the displays at Lumaze Pittsburgh are made just viewing and decoration, but many of them are also interactive. Some of the displays are geared more towards children, but most can be enjoyed by anyone. My personal favorite display was the twinkling icicles. Long strands of white icicles hung from the ceiling which can be walked through and created the best photo opportunity. The photo opportunities are truly endless though, and I am sharing them below:
To my fellow Pittsburghers, Lumaze runs through January 4th, so if you haven’t visited it yet then make sure you do in the next few days and get some great photos for yourself. Lumaze is the perfect date night or family night. Until next time!
