1 LEMON PRINT SHIRT STYLED 2 WAYS

I wasn’t lying when I said I am really into the fruit printed clothing trend. Out of all of the fruit prints out there, lemon has definitely been my favorite. When I saw this lemon printed button down shirt from Banana Republic, I loved how simple and classic it was. Today’s post is all about one shirt styled two different ways.

Banana Republic was having a great sale a few weeks so I spent an evening browsing the website. I came across this shirt and fell in love because I love button downs and I also love lemons. I started brainstorming the different ways I can wear this shirt and since it can be worn so many ways, I decided to focus this post on two specific ways to wear it. For one style I went a little dressier, and for the other style I made it a little more laid back.

DRESSY LOOK

For an outfit that is perfect for a date night or another event you want to be a little dressed up for, I suggest wearing the shirt with sleek bottoms and accessories. I personally paired the shirt with these navy paperbag shorts from Banana Republic Factory. These shirts are made out of a nice material and have a cute tie waist. I accessorized the outfit with a navy silk headband which is also from Banana Republic. This headband can be worn around the forehead for a boho style, or how I wore it like a true headband. This headband also comes in black and 4 prints. To really take this outfit to the next level, I added these beaded lemon statement earrings from Nordstrom Rack which are one of my favorite summer accessory purchases. How cute are they?! They also come in watermelons which are another fun summer accessory. I finished the look with light blue block heeled sandals which are simple and complement the shirt perfectly.

CASUAL LOOK

To wear the shirt more casually, I paired them with a pair of white linen shorts that feature a tassel hem. Nothing is more summer than linen shorts and the hem is such a fun detail. Instead of wearing the shirt out or tucked into the shorts, I tied it to achieve the casual look I was going for. I wore the outfit with my new navy espadrilles from DSW, which are comfortable but so stylish at the same time. The navy shoes also are a great contrast with the light blue, yellow, and white shades of the outfit. To finish the look, I added this straw hat from Target which features a white blue ribbon.
