While you have been shopping this season, have you noticed that the color burnt orange is everywhere? I just realized this recently and decided to look into it just to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I found this article stating that Etsy forecasted burnt orange as the color of 2019, and it all makes sense now. Typically this color only shows itself during the fall season, but it can work in any season!
Since I gravitate to classic looks, I love a simple, stylish blouse. Blouses are so versatile and can be dressed up or down. This blouse from LOFT is very simple but features draped sleeves for an interesting look. I liked the style of the blouse, but when I first saw it I thought “ugh, burnt orange? It’s spring.” The more I thought about it though, I realized how this blouse can be a really great year-round wardrobe staple.
In the cold months, this blouse would look great with blue jeans by itself, or even with a vest layered on top. It also could be dressed up with navy or gray bottoms for a dressier look. Since we are at the start of spring, I decided to wear this blouse with a pair of white jeans. The color really pops against the white bottoms, and the white jeans instantly make this outfit spring/summer-appropriate. To continue with making this outfit look spring-like, I added this snakeskin belt from Target for a fun accessory. Snakeskin is another hot trend for the season and it works perfectly with this outfit. I finished the look with these nude block heels and my favorite spring bag. This outfit is so easy to put together but looks polished and stylish.
What are your thoughts on burnt orange in spring? Do you think the color only belongs to fall, or do you think it can work any time of the year when styled correctly? I would love to hear below!
