Today I am sharing another trend alert: fruity prints! One of the top trends of this summer is fruit printed clothing. The trend started rearing its head last year, but this season it is full-force fruity clothing ahead, and I am loving it! I think the fruity print trend is adorable and is perfect for those who like a classic, preppy, and feminine style.
My personal favorite print is lemon print. It is not that I prefer lemons in real life over other fruits, but I think the print on clothing just looks cheery and bright and perfect for summer. I decided I needed to add a lemon-printed item to my closet, so I went on the search for something fun featuring the yellow-colored citrus. In my search, I found so many cute options from tops to dresses to skirts, such as this one from Target. This skirt is from Target’s Who What Wear collection, which is know for its chic and effortless street style. This brand along with the A New Day are the top brands at Target that suit me. I love the fit of the skirt, as it has an a-line silhouette and is pleated, so it is flattering on any body type. I also like that the skirt is midi length, which is a skirt/dress trend I have been wearing a lot this year. The print is adorable and is quintessentially summer so I thought it would be a great addition to my closet.
This skirt could be wore a number of ways. It actually has a matching off-the-shoulder top that would look perfect with the skirt. This matching look is great because it looks like a one-piece dress, but you have the versatility of wearing the pieces separately. I decided to wear the skirt with an emerald green sweater tank, which I actually purchased from Target last summer. Unfortunately, this top is no longer available, but I did link a similar one here. I like the simplicity of the top with a busy skirt, and I also like how the green complements the color of the leaves in the skirt as well.
I accessorized this outfit with a straw tote, my go-to nude heeled sandals, and a pair of white tassel statement earrings. This outfit could also be worn with a straw hat, a headband or wrap, a statement necklace, or even this matching bag.
