We are in the month of May and we all know what season is here – wedding season! The bride is always the star of the show, but that doesn’t mean that us wedding guests can’t be looking great as well. In today’s post I detail this gray dress I recently wore to a wedding, and am including six other dresses I think can be great options.
My one go-to store for a wedding guest dress for the last 5 or so years has been Asos. Asos has a huge selection of all different styles and is also very affordable. I was attending a wedding at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia recently, so I needed a dress that was classy, tasteful, and sophisticated. This light gray bardot dress has a flattering fit and flare silhouette and also features a belt at the waist to add even more definition. I love that the belt has gold hardware on it which adds another sophisticated detail. I love off-the-shoulder styles due to their chic look, but sometimes they can be tricky because they don’t stay off the shoulder. Another great thing about this dress is the shoulder cut is wide and it stays put. Midi dresses are so popular right now, and the length of this one adds to the elegance of the overall look.
This dress could be accessorized a number of ways, but I chose to accessorize it with these large beaded gold statement earrings. These earrings are very dressy and bold and are a perfect complement to this sophisticated look. For shoes, I wore these snakeskin open-toed heels. I am loving snakeskin right now, and I bought these shoes because they add a trendy element to this outfit, but I also can get a lot of use out of them all summer long. Great news is these shoes are currently on mega sale at Belk, so grab them while you can! I finished the outfit with this black, white, and straw clutch from Target.
Here are some other great wedding guest dress options from Asos that I am loving (all $60 & under – click the image to shop!):
I love occasion dresses and I will definitely feature more on the blog in the future. Until next time!
